KIC InnoEnergy 2016 Call for Proposals
KIC InnoEnergy’s aim is to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and education in sustainable energy. It does this by providing business support through its network of 160 partners, and investment funding.
KIC InnoEnergy is a branch of the European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT). The EIT is not an EU institution but it aligns its objectives with those of EU funding programmes such as Horizon 2020 and the SET-Plan.
This new call for proposals aims to fund innovative products, services or solutions in sustainable energy that have a high commercial potential.
Products should:
- Decrease energy cost,
- Increase security vis-à-vis resources holders,
- Increase intrinsic operational safety or reliability, and/or
- Reduce Green House Gas emissions.
The project has to:
- Be a demonstration or a pre-commercial project (TRL 5 or higher).
- Be part of a consortium: between 3 and 7 partners from at least 2 different European countries and including both research and industry organisations.
- Have a maximum duration of 3 years.
- Be ready to go to the market within less than 5 years.
